The Center for Advanced Systems Understanding (CASUS) is a German-Polish research center for data-intensive digital systems research.

The Institute CASUS is looking for a PhD Student (f/m/d) Ion Transport in 2D Polymer-Based Monolayers and Heterostructures, subject to the approval of the project.

Your tasks
Performing large-scale simulation for 2D materials
Collaborating with peers including experimental project partners
Publishing results in academic and peer-reviewed journals
Presenting results at scientific meetings

Your profile

Completed university studies (Master) in the field of computer science, physics, or chemistry or related field
Good knowledge of electronic structure methods for 2D materials and of numerical methods
Experience with Linux, Git and related tools as well with high-performance computing
Strong motivation to work in a collaborative environment
Excellent communication skills in English
